Gator .........its whats for dinner.

When i was a while back and being sick means everything taste like .... well you know what i mean. My sister gods love her got me Gator and OJ.

i have no idea what this is suppose to do for a cold but.....

gator onion garlic and peppers.......cooked till tender in just enough olive oil so it doesnt stick to the pan. add a can of diced tomatos. italian ones are good

serve over rice

smoked a turkey

Fresh Market

We just got a fresh Market in our town.

I LOVE IT... Foods nobody in my house understands but the cuban side of my family, teas, coffees, the olive bar, cheeses, breads, fruits and veggies i only see when i am in Miami.

If you have one of these please go....i dare you to try one new recipe every month!

get cook book get several and play the came of flip to a page blindly and try the recipe your finger lands on.

Go release your inner chef.. if it doesn't work feed it to the dog. I do....LOL

Kick UR Ass Chili

ok Chili should not be so hot you can not taste it.....with that understanding lets begin.

1 bag read bean cook til tender this depends on the beans but 3 cans drained will work......
1 onion diced
4 or 6 gloves garlic crushed and chopped
1 can diced tomato chilie ready style is ok
1 can rotel and green chili tomatos
2 can tomaot paste
2 bags favorite chili seasoning
1 lb ground meat or shreded cooked roast

brown meat with onion and garlic drain meat add to beans
then add all other seasonings simmer on low for about an hour

not too hot and flavorful

top with sour cream, crackers and chedder
big glass of tea

and your set..........

Everybody should have a goal... mine is a pig roast

If you ask what i remember most about my childhood its the pig roast, we load up in the car , and i mean everyone, go to the pig farm and pick your pig live......and then they go kill it for you. At least they did not do it in front of you.

Imagine a farm with car loads of family all milling around, tailgating and waiting for their pig. As American white bread cracker as my mother's side is going to the Cuban side was like going to another world. The language seemed exotic, the puffed and powdered all dressed in their guyaberas the hats and the ladies in the house dresses everybody seemed so clean and nice to buy a dead pig.

I want to have a pig roast I just have to figure out how to do it.............. but first i must find a pig. and bottles of mojo, and beer yes i think beer was an important ingredient. ohh i need garlic, onion ..............i think cooking a hole pig even the head is alittle scary but hey if they can do it I can do it.

I was not the one who launched the flaming onion.

Easy Soup

Its cold here in Bama, very cold and that means soup.

One small roast cooked in a corock pot for about 4to 6 hours on high till its so tender it falls apart, with water to cover and seasonings


break up the meat into peices
add  2 cans diced tomatoes
2 drained cans of mixed veggies
a drained can of diced potatoes

you can add left over veggies like corn, peas, green beans.....and pasta with no sauce

cook in crock pot till warm add garlic and any more seasoning you want! a


when hot chow down with crackers grilled cheese or cornbread
